Diagnosis of leaf nutrient content for ‘common’ arrowroot plants fertilized with ovine manure

چکیده
Despite arrowroot’s (Maranta arundinaceae L.) appeal in several industry sectors, which indicates high potential for large-scale production, few studies have investigated the nutritional status of this crop species. Given economic relevance and limited data literature, objective work was to evaluate nutritive effect ovine biofertilizer cultivation arrowroot ‘comum’, two evaluation periods 180 272 days after planting (DAP). The experiment laid out as a split-plot randomized complete block design with four replicates. Leaf contents nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), sulfur (S), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), boron (B), sodium (Na) were determined. High K Na observed leaves. sheep is suitable meet needs ‘common’. continuous application provided higher levels nutrients at planting.

Growth, Root Formation, and Nutrient Value of Triticale Plants Fertilized with Biosolids
Biosolids are utilized as nutrient rich fertilizer. Little material is available on benefits to forage crops resulting from fertilization with biosolids. This paper aimed to compare the effects of fertilization with biosolids versus commercial nitrogen fertilizer on growth, root formation, and nutrient value of triticale plants in a greenhouse experiment. Per treatment, five pots were seeded wi...
متن کاملBacterial Transport from Agricultural Lands Fertilized with Animal Manure
A plot scale study was conducted to determine bacterial transport in runoff from cropland treated with poultry litter and dairy manure applied at phosphorus (P) agronomic rates. Treatments included surface application of dairy manure, surface application of poultry litter, incorporation of dairy manure and control. A rainfall simulator was used to induce runoff 1 and 2 days after manure applica...
متن کاملNutrient Runoff Following Manure Application
Little information is available concerning the effects of varying flow rate on nutrient transport by overland flow from areas on which manure was previously applied. The objective of this field study was to measure the effects of varying flow rate on nutrient transport following the application of varying amounts of beef cattle manure to plots containing either no-residue or a wheat residue cov...

The ability to manage modern pork production systems for minimal environmental pollution has improved dramatically during the past decade, but continues to be one of the most significant challenges facing the pork industry around the world. Nutrition plays a significant role in environmental sustainability of pork production, but the development and implementation of “eco-nutrition” swine feedi...
متن کاملSpecific leaf area and leaf dry matter content of plants growing in sand dunes
We investigated the variations in specific leaf area (SLA) and leaf dry matter content (LDMC) of 20 species (10 annuals and 10 perennials) that have different distributional patterns in the Kerqin Sandy Land in northern China. The main purpose of our study was to determine if SLA and/or LDMC could be used as indicators of plant resource-use strategy in sand dune environments. The selected speci...
